The fishing in central Arkansas is about as good as it gets! The abundance of crappie, bream, bass and catfish that are found in our sloughs, rivers and ox bows make this an anglers paradise. I have enjoyed the successful fishing so much, that I have decided to pass the fun on to you at a very affordable price.....and with over 12 years of guiding experience, I know what it takes to make my customers happy and have a successful trip!
Everyone loves to fish, and everyone can be sucessful catching fish at times, but these days time is a major problem! Everyone is busy, money is tight and work is a must to survive! But, we all still like to get away from all of that and have fun, unwind and catch some fish!
To sucessfully catch fish you have to know where they are biting, and keep your equipment in good shape. No one wants to spend their only day off getting their equipment ready or have a bad day on the water not being able to find the fish!
I offer several different types of fishing trips based on the time of year and water conditions. All fishing trips are $175 daily for the 1st person, and $40 for each additional person (an additional bait charge may apply to some trips)! At the end of each trip I will clean your fish and package them at no additional cost to you!
A 50% deposit is required at time of booking.
Crappie Fishing - Crappie fishing is my "off season" passion! There is very little that compares to the feeling of pulling big slab crappie out of heavy cover! We will start pole fishing for crappie on Feb 1st each year and continue till about mid Oct. Most of our early crappie fishing is done with 1 pole and using a slip floater or tight lining visible cover, however, after the spawn when the crappie scatter and suspend, we will switch to spider rigging with multiple poles or pulling crankbaits. There is a 2 person maximum for crappie fishing.
YoYo Trips - A fun and easy way to catch a lot of crappie! The use of yoyo's for crappie fishing is not something often found in other parts of the country, but an awesome way to catch a lot of fish! Imagine each person in your group having a couple dozen YoYo's each, all baited with minnows and fishing for you! All you have to do is run them and take the crappie off! These trips can be done day or night.....or both! Our yoyo trips are available Feb 1st - April each year on a 1st come basis. There is a 3 person maximum for YoYo trips, an additional bait fee will also apply.
Trotlining trips- Big time fun, and a great way to catch a lot of catfish, maybe even a few monsters! There is nothing like pulling up to a line and seeing the limb shaking from that tug of a big'un! We will start our trip by throwing a cast net to obtain shad and rice slicks to use as bait. Once we have obtained enough bait for the day, we will try to have all of our lines set just before dark. We will let our lines fish throughout the night and arrive early the next morning to run and rebait them, then run again and rebait just before dark. We will run all lines and re-bait twice a day. large Blue, Channel and Flatheads are all very common while trotlining. An additional bait fee may apply.
Bowfishing Trips - The biggest problem we encounter with successfully trying to catch crappie in the hot summer months is nucience fish, especially gar or flying carp! But we have found a way to thin them out, beat the heat and have a blast doing it! If you have never bowfished, you are missing out on one of the many treats life has to offer! Whether its shooting monster gar, buffalo, or jumping carp, I can promise you that this is some kind of fun that you wont wanna miss out on! Besides, what else do you have to do in the hot months of summer? We might even catch a few bream and gig a few frogs in the process! Prices for bowfishing trips are the same as our other fishing trips...... $175 daily for the 1st person and $40 for a second person. Limit of 2 people for bowfishing.
All of our fishing is done from a very wide and stable 1860 F&F center console boat equipped with a 70 hp Yamaha outboard. Lifejackets are supplied for each customer as well as poles, tackle and snacks. All you will need is your fishing license and sunscreen!
